Last updated: October 5, 2026

Ocean Beach Media (“Ocean Beach Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a customer-acquisition and marketing company located at 7040 Avenida Encinas, Suite 104, Carlsbad, California 92011. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through:

  • this website, oceanbeachmedia.com (the “Corporate Site”), and
  • the consumer-facing websites and brands we own and operate, including Quote Genie (quotegenielifecoverage.ai) and any other site that links to this policy (together, the “Consumer Sites”).

Each Consumer Site may also post its own privacy policy with details specific to that site. Where the two differ, the Consumer Site’s policy controls for that site.

1. Information we collect

On the Corporate Site

If you request a demo or contact us, we collect your name, company, work email, phone number and anything you include in your message. We also automatically collect your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you view and the site that referred you, using cookies and similar technologies.

On the Consumer Sites

When a consumer requests a quote or other information, we collect the details they enter, which can include name, phone number, email, mailing address or ZIP code, date of birth, gender, household income range, current insurance status, product interest, and optional details such as beneficiary, interests and home ownership. We also automatically collect IP address, approximate location, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring site and advertising campaign identifiers. We record the consent language shown, the time of submission and a third-party consent certificate (such as TrustedForm) documenting what the consumer saw and agreed to. Calls between consumers and us or our partners may be recorded.

From other sources

We may receive information about consumers from our marketing partners, advertising platforms, data-validation vendors and publicly available sources, and combine it with information we already hold.

2. How we use personal information

  • To respond to demo and contact requests and to market our services to businesses.
  • To connect consumers who request quotes with licensed insurance agents, agencies and carriers, and to deliver their requests to those partners.
  • To contact consumers, with their consent, by phone, text, email and mail about the products they asked about.
  • To verify identity, validate contact details, prevent fraud and spam, and document consent.
  • To operate, secure, measure and improve our sites and advertising.
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms and protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. How we share personal information, and “sales” and “sharing” under California law

Marketing partners. Consumer quote requests are delivered to licensed insurance agents, agencies and carriers that can help with the request. We may be paid for these deliveries. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), this is a sale of personal information. Each Consumer Site lists the partners that may receive information submitted on it.

Advertising partners. We use cookies and pixels from advertising platforms (such as Meta and Google) to measure and target advertising. Under the CCPA this may be sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers and contractors. Vendors that host our sites, store and route lead data, certify consent, send messages, track calls, run analytics and provide business software. They may use personal information only to provide services to us under written contracts.

Legal, safety and business transfers. We may disclose personal information to comply with law, a subpoena or a government request; to investigate fraud or security issues; to enforce our terms; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.

Business contacts. We do not sell or share the personal information of Corporate Site visitors or business contacts.
